Alex Prager

The top photograph is from Alex Prager's collection Face in the Crowd and the bottom is from Compulsion. There is a lot to look at in these photos because every person is a real individual and might make a meaningful photo on there own. They seem to have a sense of humor about them I really like; In the one on top it is like catching a whole bunch of people doing what they do when they don't think anybody is looking, and in the bottom there are a bunch of people that look like they were involved in some type of strange boating accident.

There are some photos that really sum up human struggles throughout history and are too powerful to be forgotten, kind of like the picture of the Tiananmen Square protester who stopped a column of tanks.
I was watching the news a while ago and they were talking about the struggles in Ukraine and the protests that were going on. They showed this picture, and I got the feeling that I probably wasn't the only person that really reacted to it. I think this photograph will probably be one that people are still familiar with many years from now, like the photograph of the Chinese protester  is.

These are three different photographs by Gregory Crewdson, all three are from his album Beneath the roses. I really like how there is something sort of unreal about the work, its like a scene from a movie or something out of a dream. The way the pictures create a narrative is amazing and the lighting is pretty awesome too.

Found this just before my computer at home froze up this morning, didn't get much of a chance to look at the resources on here but the Deviant Art website listed here looks like it could be very helpful because of the reviews by random people, so it might just depend on the reviewer

I came across this photo while I was looking through the Smithsonian Magazine the other day, and I found myself thinking about it when we talk about portraits in class.
The man in the pictures name is Sauer, a native chief of New Guinea. His father played a roll in the death of Michael Rockefeller. This photo was taken by Carl Hoffman.

Koen Demuynck

Found this today, I like the kind of unreal effect many of Koen Demuynck's photographs have. There is something really cool about the lighting of the photo and how the photos almost look like paintings. The subject in most of his photographs are usually entertaining in themselves too.

I found this on the forum http://photography-on-the.net/forum/

Untitled photo by Jargon Kuvat
I was impressed by how clear the car and driver are while the back ground is all blurred. I would like to learn to do that.

Was showed this forum by a friend the other day, there is really some pretty cool stuff on here.

Garnet-lake by Peter Essick
http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photo-of-the-day/garnet-lake-essick/

I started looking at a lot of Ansel Adams' work and this caught my eye, this photograph was actually taken by Peter Essick a photographer that imitates Ansel Adams' style. I like how you can see the storm coming as the clouds come over the top of the mountain and just how vast the landscape is.

The Point Reyes © Bill Church

I thought this would make a pretty good photograph to start with. The landscape alone with the boat run aground would be interesting enough on its own, but the light trails of the stars have a neat effect too.
